After living 1.5 year in Chile:

• I cannot say penne pasta^[1] with a straight face.
• I still giggle when people talk about curvas^[2].
• The same goes for “tu po“^[3].
• I won’t be able to reply “po to” in Polish^[4].

^[1] Obviously “dick” in Chilean.

^[2] Sounds exactly like “bitch” in Polish. This is extra hilarious when people say then fell on a curva. By accident.

^[3] Sounds like “ass” in Polish.

^[4] Means “ass” but in Chilean.

And yes, it’s Chilean. Not Spanish. They don’t speak Spanish here.
