So the weather forecast for the next few days looks like this:
Good thing we bought the gear for Torres del Paine, I’m safe from all the slippery tiles and rivers of water going through the streets.
Fun facts:
- in Santiago only one commune (known as… Santiago) has surface water drain system
- they use extremely slippery tiles, that become even more slippery with a little bit of rain, so you basically end up as a penguin dancing on ice
However this kind of weather brings another tradition that surfaced in Chile, namely staying home and eating sopaipillas. Add pebre to that and you have a delicious unhealthy meal.
